Jonathan and Kelsey are both reserved people. If you knew them for the last 20 years, like most of the wedding guests had, there were many inside jokes and lots of laughter. They both treated me with such kindness and respect that I understood the gushing during the toasts about what wonderful people they both are.

The day was filled with emotional toasts and wild laughter! We survived rain during the formal portraits and the sun came out right before the ceremony for them. Of course the children stole the show several times throughout the day as is often the case when there are kids around. (:

As always I like to start with my favorite image from the day. If this is the only one you see you have gotten a glimpse into what an gorgeous place Rangeley Maine is for a wedding. The backdrop of the mountains here at the Rangeley Country Club Inn is truly amazing and well worth the drive.

I wish them both many many years of happiness and laughter together!!

Portrait Mini-Sessions at Orchard Hill Farm on October 5th 2013

If you missed the mini-sessions I offered this summer now is your chance to get in on the last one of the year. We had a great time at the Gilsland Farm Audubon Society in June! I wanted to do something with a real fall theme so I chose a local apple orchard as the setting for the October sessions. You and your family can make an apple picking and portrait day at the same time. I will see you there!

Family Portrait Session at Gilsland Farm Maine Audubon Society

Family portrait sessions are some of my favorite things to photograph. I love hanging out and seeing how a family interacts. We always end up talking and laughing and that's when the best portraits happen.

I know Whitney through her work with the non-profit Share our Strength which works hard to end childhood hunger here in America. She is such a dedicated presence for this event tirelessly working to coordinate the Taste of the Nation dinner event held every year. It's always great to see her and high energy! It was an honor to get to capture her family.

I really love the portraits that come out of the mini-session that we did together. They make me smile every time I see them. And that is the whole point! (:
