the most beautiful things in this world must be felt with the heart

Just a quote and one portrait today. The summer is so very busy for photographers especially here in Maine where we have such a small window to be outside enjoying the beautiful backdrop of this state. So I am behind on lots of things. Blogging included. My goal is to try and do smaller posts like this so at least I get something up.

I love this quote so much. I could talk about why all day. Or I could just put it here with a portrait that moves my heart so much. (and yes, I know it's cheating the quote since it's something to see. but i still felt the quote went with this portrait)

Go out and feel something beautiful today.

                                                                                                                In life and love- Jen

Nonantum Resort Wedding Portraits, Meghan & Craig Tie the Knot

A wedding by the sea is what many couples who come to Maine are looking for. If you haven't checked out the Nonantum Resort then you are missing a really wonderful spot (and a truly stellar staff as well)! As always is the case at this resort this wedding did not disappoint! The day was beautiful as were the arrangements from Brenda's Bloomers. Be sure to check out the amazing (as usual) tent by Sperry Tents. The party really got started with the super fun guys in the Boston band Bearfight. The were fab!!

Thank you Meghan and Craig for having me capture your amazing day. I wish you many years of happiness and dancing!!

6.25.11 inn at mill falls wedding

ali and nate are one of those couples that are not only sweet and kind themselves, but surrounded by happiness and love from family and friends. i felt honored to be a part of that.

this was also one of those weddings that flowed smoothly and was simply wonderful because of the people involved. you can see the joy on everyone's face. and considering a recent loss in the family it is all the more poignant.

life is short. may we all be reminded of what life is about and enjoy every moment.

beautiful location: the inn at mill falls, church landing

fabulous band: grippo funk band

bridgette & dan, sept 4th, 2010, inn by the sea

bridgette and dan's day was much anticipated as was the hurricane, earl, that was to show up on the same day. the ceremony was to be on cresent beach in cape elizabeth so, of course, we were just wondering if we would even set foot on the sand.

not only did they get married on the beach, but it was a glorious day! bright sun and bright blue skies to match with perfect puffy clouds. the two of them were so in love they had big tears during the ceremony. so sweet they were. i do love love!

there was a beautiful tented reception and dinner after which we went back out to the ocean and sunset view for a few more shots.

location & dinner: inn by the sea

flowers: fluer de lis (fabulous as usual!!)

congratulations on your new life together bridgette and dan!!
